Bevlynn is turning 2 years old in 2 days. Brayden and Bevlynn had massaged us in the bedroom. The little cute chubby hands are so cute. Bev enjoyed singing Happy Birthday and blowing virtual candles on Youtube. It looped for more than 20 times and she still asked for the song AGAIN and AGAIN. 

There was a family day carnival in Bukit Batok. We had so much fun. Lasertag, cookie decorating, 3D printing, watching cartoon outdoor under the night sky, claw machine ice cream, hand painting, soap making and lots and lots of balloons. Hubs and I were like kids again with Brayden and Bevlynn exploring the various activities. 

When Brayden was playing laser tag, he was just hiding behind the last tent, away from all enemies. Running about in the dark as though very busy and contributing a lot to the team's points, but actually he hardly got much "kills" 2 at most. He was an easy target though. :) It was funny how he was trying hard. 

He was also presenting in front of class today for speech academy "How to do Jumping Jacks" - as a teacher. Mommy is so proud. He had tried his best but could see he was nervous too. 

They are growing up fast. I really loved this moments with both the children but I am getting very busy at work too. I had just been promoted to the team lead position, with now more responsibilities to undertake. Which means, I am working longer hours too. It is stressful when I need to juggle between home and work, while getting the best of both worlds. I still know my priorities lies first for the family. They are my world, my everything. All the sacrifices are for them.

This week I was threatened on the phone by loan sharks. 

I just found out that my Filipino maid had loaned from loan shark since Mar 2023 and had been making payments after payments and continued to be threatened by them. 

They are starting to threatened me as well should I not help her pay the remaining "sum" from growing late interest fees. We made police report the next day. She continued to give me various accounts of her version and not the whole honest truth; eg. giving our address, name and phone no out to the loan shark. 

This made me upset as my trust had been breached. I disliked that she had disregard the safety of my family just for the sake of getting the easy loan. 

But I choose to forgive. The only thing now in my mind is the safety of my two kids and family. Hope there is no more episodes from such an event. 

What's done is done! 

You couldn't control what others want to do without your knowledge. You could only control what you have to do next. I almost had an argument with hubby due to this as he did not step in to help with scolding my maid. But after a day or two, I am abit more calmed and find that it is not worth it since it was not his mistake. 

Now my phone is always spam by unknown phone calls. Just have to be patient and bear with it. 

Not a Super Hero Mother

It can be hard sometimes. 

2 days ago during Mother's Day, there was a librarian coming up to me and telling me how Bev running about in the library could have gotten her into some accident. It wasn't that I let her roam about freely and not bothering about her but her actions were very fast and swift. Before I knew it, she was right in front of the uncle. 

Sometimes both the children are demanding my attention but they are running on different locations. And it is tough for me to handle both. I got really frustrated inside when Daddy was only watching from the sides and didn't even take the initiative to help. His respond "They are looking for Mommy, I can't do anything" 

I could only take in the words but felt helpless. 

There was a man walking very fast past us and I tripped on his luggage while carrying Bev. Both of us fell to the ground. Bev knocked her head and I had some minor bruising. Sometimes I tried my hardest, to keep my babies safe but it wasn't enough. It hurts. 

This Mother's Day, made me feel like Mothers aren't always the super hero people expect them to be. They can be vulnerable, weak and sometimes helpless. I will not give up though, I will not given in.. I'll be the best version I can be. Mommy's here!

Hide and Seek

We love to play hide and seek at home. In this small place we have, there's lots of fun and laughter. 

Bev always has the soft "Hide... hide... hide (said in very fast tone and sounded like losing breath)". Her usual hiding spot is behind the curtain and behind the door. Every time it is the same spot and we had to pretend not to be able to find her. 

Bray is always asking to be the seeker. He counts from 1 to 20 is very fast and doesn't allow anyone to hide well. 

Bev and Bray loves playing camping under the bed mattress as well. It is super hot in the small space, and Mommy has to fit in the space too. 

I recalled the times when I told Brayden night time stories. Everytime I will put myself to sleep with the stories but I will continue to tell the stories in jibberish. Brayden used to say "Mommy are you crazy talk again?" It happened again yesterday, out of no where I just stay "the dragon has hand muscles" Brayden laughed so hard and fell asleep afterwards. 

If only I can hold these small hands of yours forever,... I will love and cherish them.
