Brayden is 7 | Chap Goh Meh

Brayden 7Y0M0D

Bevlynn 2Y8M24D

Today is Brayden's 7th Birthday! It is Chap Goh Meh and the final CNY day!

We started with a good swim at BB Swimming Center.

Then, we celebrated with Surong, Lina and Jih Houh children's at Marche Somerset. It was fun for the children to gather and play at the small indoor playground. The kids were very excited to get the balloons, cakes, goodie bags, and ang pows.

Bevlynn loves to follow her gor gor around at the playground; everywhere he goes, she goes. But they still fight and shout at each other.

Although Brayden is 7, he's still such a big kid. Fighting with Bev for small toys and balloons. Occasional crying and pooing in his pants. He still loves big hugs from his Mommy and Daddy. And asks for story during bedtimes.

His birthday wish is "I don't want to fall sick easily"

And that is my wish for all of us too!

I have a colleague Connie at work who seems to have internal struggles for quite some time now. We faced the same challenges as work but another colleague Joe mentioned that I can manage the situation differently. I do realized I am in a good position, with more positive mindset. My daily run at the park is my place to train my mind to be more positive every day. This helps. I am happier too! I have also been occupying myself with so much to do that I don't have time to invest my emotions in these menial matters at work. My children are also my source of happiness.

CNY 2024 HAPPY LONG LONG WAY

Brayden 6Y11M21D

Bevlynn 2Y8M14D

This CNY we had to stay back in Singapore. Brayden being in primary 1 makes it difficult to plan because there's only 2 days for holidays. Furthermore, I had been so busy with work arrangements that I did not have anything planned for travels back.

We had a modest and simple celebration on 1st and 2nd day of CNY; mostly staying home and going to TimeZone. The children enjoyed it. On the 3rd CNY day, we made a short 2-day trip to Legoland and JB. This time Bevlynn knows how to enjoy the rides more, so it was more fun.

She's grown a little more now. She knows how to express her emotions very well. Always loving and fighting with her gor gor. Gor gor is being nice but sometimes does not want to give in easily to her requests. She feels very entitled and always asked for this and that; everything that the Gor Gor held in his hands. When the gor gor cried, she would comfort him.

She knows bigger words now : Magic, Mystery, Legoland, trying to phrase longer sentences, "Mommy angry with gor gor, he's naughty, scold him and beat him."

Brayden is trying his best to be a nice gor gor. He will hold Bevlynn's hand while walking and asking her to perform some funny actions to make her laugh. At TimeZone, he played bowling and acted like a winner even though he has just a small spare. We were in Legoland and we ended up in a boat ride under the rain. It was a very funny moment, we cannot hide, with no umbrella. Mommy was like "Brayden can you go faster" He smirk and said "Mommy I want to bump into every corner" stalling the boat and making it turn wrongly.

I will miss this stage of their lives. HAPPY LONG LONG WAY!

In the CNY days, I have chances to help three elderly. One on a wheelchair and begging for money, one who looked like she had dementia and does not remember anything about a home, and last one who has knees issues and was holding a heavy bag. I am glad in life such opportunity to help people often comes along and I'd realized that we will someday grow old and grey. We would need to be more caring as a community and to help out as much as we could.

I dream of a happy simple life

I dream of being able to run around in the park listening to music

I dream of sleeping with my children

I dream of smelling my childrens' sour smelling mouths and pillows

I dream of being there for my children when they are growing up

I dream to have one-on-one time with my husband

I dream of having a loving relationship with my husband

I dream of having alone time to read my books

I dream of travelling to different countries

I dream of having to lead at work

I dream of being able to give to charity

I dream of being able to be a role model to my children

I dream of living with stability and peace

I am LIVING my DREAMS!

Happy Birthday Daddy! | Bray & Bev the merlion babies

Brayden 6Y11M11D

Bevlynn 2Y8M4D

Hoi Lee's daughter, Leya is 100 days old. We were invited to her party to celebrate this special day. Eunice a long time friend from my high school SGGS is there too. It was fun to have Bevlynn enjoyed playing with the other children and watched the magic show.

Brayden was very mischievous and took some photo photos of himself in my phone. He found himself in the school's bookstore every day, buying new stationaries (erasers, highlighter,...). Daddy wanted to reduce his pocket money now! (Haha)

Bevlynn was singing happily in the toilet. It is a joy watching her oblivious to the video taking.

Gene transit through Singapore Airport for his work trip to USA. Bev and I had met up with him briefly.

It was a super busy week at work due to the sales partner meeting. On top of that, Bev and Bray both fell sick this week. At stressful times like this, falling sick is the worst scenario. Brayden kept pestering me to come home early, but I couldn't. I had to worked late on the presentations as well as joined in the company dinners. I am so glad that it is now over, survived through all of the busy-ness.. At one point, I was having high fever and in several meetings.

Funny thing was, when I was telling both of Brayden and Bevlynn bedtime stories. Brayden started vomited on the bed while lying down. In another episode, Brayden ran to the toilet and started vomiting like a merlion, splashing all over the toilet bowl and toilet floor. Bev wanted to be helpful and ran to get the bidet not realising she had stepped on vomit. I started screaming at her and pulled her away, then she realized the vomit on her foot and started becoming a second mini merlion too - spurting out vomit on the floor. It was funny, chaotic and messy at the same time.

Today is Hubs birthday! We bought him a cake with fishes. Brayden said "Daddy loves fish but he don't eat them, so?" Haha. This little boy is trying to be funny...
