Legoland JB - Everything is AWESOME

A trip to Legoland Malaysia was memorable. We had a 3D2N stay at JB. On the first day, we went to the sea life aquarium. It was a smaller version but the indoor had air-con for us to stay away from the hot weather outside. Bev loves the fishes.

Brayden rode on small dragon roller coaster because he was scared of the big one, learning to drive in the "car school" and go in the playground with the ball.

Bev and Bray had chances to play in the boat, train, plane, fire-engine rides (we had to work very hard to move the fire engine to the next location and put out the fire), 4D show and farm playground. Bev was not tall enough to go on most rides. But she tried her best to kill the ninja bad guys with "hiak hiak hiak" ninja shout-out.

The house we stayed in was decorated like a circus, the children loved it. The master bedroom was like a lion's den and the childrens' bunk bed was in a tent. There were two carousel horses in the living room.

At night time, we explore the shopping malls nearby. Paradigm mall and Sunway Big Box retail. There is a big book store (decorated like a modern library) and it has lots of children books.

It was so much fun. The stress just melted away...

Real work starts at home

Brayden 3Y6M27D

"What is the point of giving so much of yourself to the outside world, if the family you claim is your top priority only gets your leftovers from work. Real work starts at home. So keep showing up"

Family picnic was fun - the weather was windy and there were entertainment; singing, balloons, snacks in boxes. The children played with bubbles. How fun is it for them to catch bubbles which are so fragile and only appearing for a few seconds? Even if they had to run around over and over for hours, I don't think their batteries ever run dry.

Father's day, we celebrated at Raffles Marina. A small pier West of Singapore. Both the children loves finding wild fishes. Holding Brayden's small hands with one hand and carrying Bevlynn on another, I wonder how long more can I do this.

6 years is short - Never enough. I still cannot get enough of the children's part of growing. I love chasing them around as Brayden ride his bicycle and Bevlynn running about randomly.

I have been so busy at work, sometimes I really felt there's only so many hours left I can get with the children. Sometimes I hope Hubs can help me with my frustration, but there's not much he can do either because he is also busy with work. We can only make sure we are PRESENT whenever we can; and not get too absorb with daily distractions (phones, emails.....)

I appreciate you | I miss you

Brayden 6Y3M21D

Brayden said "Mommy, you can take my S$10."

Me "Why?"

Brayden "Because I appreciate you. I appreciate you working very hard and give us money to eat"

I had been working late hours and this made my heart melt. It is all worth it.

Every night I am starting to say "I love you and I miss you, Brayden, Bevlynn" Because every day they will grow a little older and I am going to miss every part of them growing up. I have missed them now at every age of their lives; when they were 0 - 6 yrs old. These important moments, I was there with them. I love playing zombie, camp-in, story-telling, hide-&-seek...

Bevlynn turned 2

We had a short 5 day trip to Penang to celebrate Bevlynn's 2nd birthday with family. We drove to Tambun to have seafood at night. It was a slightly hidden restaurant; Ban Liau Tambun. The rain started to pour very heavily when we parked. We had to walked into the kampung lane with an umbrella under the downpour. It was fun, but wet.

It was a small restaurant, beside a river. There was even a sudden trip of electricity. The place went black for a moment. Bev and Bray had so much fun. There was a duck laying beside the dock. It brings back lots of ol' times when we used to play at kampung places.

We celebrated Bev's birthday at T.G.I. Friday.

Bevlynn can speak some big words now: Toy Spoil. Zombie Die, Swimming,......

Brayden misses Max Jiu Jiu, Ah mah, Ah gong and Pang Jiu Jiu after we returned to Singapore. He asked, "Mommy, can I go to school in Penang?" He cried after I said we cannot be back there so soon...

We had coffee with Annling, Wenting, Boey and Huiping too. But Daddy and Brayden wanted to catch Pokemon more.. So mommy can have more time to catch up with the aunties.

This week is the most hectic and stressful week at work. But I really do not want to miss this moment with Bev (having her big day). So I put aside work to make sure she comes first. In the end, I managed to pull through with excellent outcome from work.

I'd be strong for them. I am glad they managed to spend more time with their grandparents and uncles.
