Woohoo~~~

Dear Diary,

Chinese New Year has just ended today with the 15th Lunar Day. Woohoo~~~~ Welcoming the new Year of the Tiger with a loud roar.

Day 1
14.02.2010, the new year falls on the same day as the Valentine's Day this year... Celebrating both festivities with family at a relative's home. Every year without missed, there will be a steamboat enough to feed the mouths of 20-30 ppl. So every hour of the day is about eating, eating and more eating... Within a few hours, the stomach is already as hard as overcooked jelly. After all the hard work of eating, i laid flat on a sofa with the rest of the family while enjoying the cny telecast on tv. Ah~~~ the joy of sitting around doing nothing...

Day 2
He reached here from his hometown. Mamak on second day of cny was the only choice we had for eating out. Most of the chinese cafeterias and hawker food stalls were not opened. At home, we watched a valentine's special movie on tv. They arranged 4 complete strangers to form two separate couples. It was one of the funniest moment when one of the couples; a thin tall man ended up being with a short big sized woman. They have to prove their love in front of their in-laws. At night we were playing cards at my aunt's.

Day 3
We met with our photographer. Yes... another free outdoor photo shoot for couples! We had to plan the theme, the dress code, the types of emotions, all in advance...
That night, I had a reunion with my ex-high schoolmates. It's an all-girls gathering.. But I brought him along... I loved how he blend in with my friends, sitting there patiently as I chatted with all of them. Deep down inside, I was really proud of introducing him there.

Day 4
Our photoshoot is TODAY!!! ...and we hadn't packed our attires. We slept in late after clubbing the night before. We were looking like two half-dead zombies walking around. To our surprise, the photoshoot location was exactly beside a large drain... No wonder it's free... *sigh*
By the time we reached home it was night time, thanks to the massive bumper to bumper car jam.. We decided to walk all the way to Kek Lok Si temple soon after. WALKING there was not a brilliant idea especially when you have had a long day before you... We were limping back and stopping at each bus stop for a seat on our way back.

Day 5
Visiting from house to house with coursemates... We then took a bus to KL together. As soon as we reached KL-Puduraya, we dropped our bag at the luggage centre, then off we go to Petaling streets for dinner and some shopping.

Day 6
Movie's day with his parents. We booked tickets for four at Timesquare GSC cineplex for '72 tenants'. The movie was hilarious but there was not much storyline. We had KFC for lunch before we continue on our shopping spree. His mother cooks great tasting soups, which we could never have enough. We went to Isaac's house for another gambling session.

Day 7
We had attended two reunions on this day. One was with his civil engineering coursemates at Shogun, 1 Utama. Japanese buffet with many selections of food to choose from. I personally love the cheese baked snails. We had a very heavy dinner too with his KL friends, during the second reunion gathering. Again, we were having 'maths classes' in Rachel's house. It was a fun activity especially when it involves cards and mahjung.

Day 8
We woke up to have an early breakfast at the market near his house. I felt sad as it was about time for me to bid farewell to him and my holiday... I cried on the bus, seeing him going off. I'm sure I am going to miss him... AGAIN...

Growing old together... someday

Dear Diary,

I was lying flat on my bed yesterday night while contemplating on how it would feel like growing old with him. Perhaps it was out of boredom. Questions after questions continue to linger inside my head. Will we be laughing at the same jokes 50 years from now? Would we still look into each others' glimmering eyes that say 'I will always love you and you only'? Will we be holding hands while walking in the park just as it is being portrait in love movies? These questions were left unanswered after a long night. Life is filled with uncertainties. The only way to find out is to wait for the time to come.

Couldn't wait to see the fine lines that would grow on his face with strands of white hair highlighting his head (if and only if there is any hair left). I'd love to watch his expression when he becomes the proud father of my children. There is so much more to be explored and discovered as we journeyed through life together.

Surely that day will come.... Someday...

The Dawn of a New Beginning

Dear Diary,

It is the start of another new year. And here I am... blogging away. I am starting to feel time is dripping away like water from an unclosed tap. Age is catching up on me but there is so much more I have yet to accomplish in life. Isn't there anything else I could do in this new year? So I decided to write my new year's resolution...

1. Spending precious time with love ones and friends

2. Replenishing my empty pocket with more cash

3. Focusing on the development of my studies... No more excuses for this

4. Enjoying the sun from different places

5. Eating healthier food which means less junks and instant noodles for me

It's definitely not easy to achieve these resolutions especially the last one... How will I ever live without them??? *giggle*

A Christmas Like No Other...

Dear Diary,

The night before christmas, I stayed in with my love one. I anticipated for the clock to strike 12 midnight. The surprise he has kept away from me is waiting to be unveiled. I knew about the 'secret box' in the fridge but I pretended not to know. He was fidgeting around the room as I silently played my games on his computer. I almost broke into a smile, seeing him bahaved in an unnatural manner. About 10 minutes before christmas, he left the room. Sure enough as the digital clock on the computer showed 00:00 am , he came in with the cake. He switched off the lights and sang me a song. I couldn't help myself but laugh in joy. Although I had imagined how everything would be, I was still very happy and contented. The surprise did not end there.... There was a box nicely wrapped in green and it was meant for me. Inside was an apple green mp3. I almost broke into tears. I have always believe the gift of music is one of the best gifts of all. Now I can listen to all the songs I loved while walking, jogging, traveling, bathing... hmm... maybe not bathing. This is definitely more than what I had wished for.

On the 25th, we decided to go to the night safari in singapore. There were many fun-filled activities with the animals. Crocodiles, flying squirrels, bats, tigers, porcupines, wild boars and many other noctornal animals; all could be seen in the safari. No flashes were allowed during photo taking hence the photos taken were very blur, yet, we were busy snapping away during the whole journey. Who would have thought spending christmas in a night safari with family members would be a brilliant idea for family bonding...

Wish I may, Wish I might....

Dear Diary,

My housemates and I were out hunting for shooting stars one night. It was around 1 in the morning and outside was pitch dark. Millions of tiny brightly lit stars scattered over the vast endless galaxy. We were watching out for meteor showers that were predicted to be actively pouring around that hour of the night. Many a times have we attempted to stay out and watch the stars but failed to do so due to the unforgiving weather conditions. But not on that night. That night was the night; the night where there was not a single cloud in sight. We waited patiently as we lay down on the car porch. We daren't blink our eyes even for a second since we were afraid we might miss the stars if we did.  Time passed and there were still no shooting stars in sight. We waited and waited. My eyes were getting tired and all the stars seems to be vibrating in their positions. Must be my imagination going wild. Could this be just another night? I wondered. Then.... out of nowhere... *woosh* a real shooting star. We all yelled out in excitement. And there was another and another. As soon as they came, they disappeared. There were countless of them. The satisfaction came after the long wait. Lucky for me as I managed to make a wish on one of those stars. I wish and I wish...................
