The Saturday started as usual with our morning swim in the Bukit Batok Swimming Pool. Brayden has just ended two sessions of swimming lessons from 8.15am - 9.45am. After that, the children played in the children's pool with a playground in the center. When we were going into the shower at the last cubicle, there was a small leak of water spraying out from the tap. Then after 2-3 rounds of tapping, the whole shower pipe from the tap to the head came off. Loads of water was gushing and gushing out and sprayed with very high pressure onto the door. It was loud and water was starting to flood the floor around the toilet. The children were scared and run to the corner of the cubicle. Naked and crying for help.... but couldn't get out as the door was held shut by the high water force. I had to forcibly push the door open to let the children out. Bev was scared. The toilet is now empty, all other parents and children had rushed out from the toilet.
Bev and Bray still had soap on them, so we had to quickly run to another cubicle and get cleaned. After several minutes, the floor was flooded even more. It was kind of fun walking around with water on the floor. If not for little Bev crying, I would have gotten the children to skip around in the water...
The swimming pool operator came to save the day. They had the water stopped.
It was a hectic week for me at work. There were mountains of unfinished work and I had to go to Thailand the next week to attend and support the events. It was very overwhelming, I decided to take a break in JB for a day. I went for massages, good food in Oriental coffee, some shopping. Coming back to work, I felt more energized. But I was wondering; it is always the same cycle of working and break.
