Oh My Pet Expo | Low Yat | KF Kiddy Circuit Play

The largest pet expo in Malaysia was here - Oh My Pet Expo. We were coincidently there and the children were delighted with the showcase of pets. There are so many pet lovers there - some can be seen pushing their fur babies in strollers, others carried a bag pack with transparent window.

At the entrance, two men was sharing joy with the crowd. One of them had 3 gliders, while another had 3 crows. Yup, a man dressed in Itachi Uchiha (Naruto) costume with 3 real, black crows on his shoulders. The crows were surprisingly very well behaved, only pecking on his head once awhile.

The children aren't afraid to touch the glider and letting it run around their neck and head.

Bev saw a puppy; "Mommy, can we have a dog?"
Bev saw cats in pet display windows; "Mommy, can we have a cat?"
Bev saw two guinea pigs with the most cutest and innocent eyes; "Mommy, can we have lily pig?"

I remember I had so many pets growing up. At different times, I had dogs (Dalmations, Shih tzu, German pinscher, Mixed breeds), cats, fish, chicks, tortoises, hamsters, white mice, iguanas, rabbits...
I lost count. I do love pets but each ones were so dear to my heart. Every time I lost them, I was so devastated. The longest ones were Coco and Crystal - our pet dogs for ~15 years. Since 1st day they were born, until they grew old and passed on. Crystal died of an infection on her back; while Coco died of old age (he was deaf and blind at that time).

We went to Low Yat and Sungei Wang this week. It is still has so many choices of electronics at a bargain. Bought laptops for Bray and Hub.

We went to KF Kiddy Circuit Indoor Playground. For RM48 / per child, there was unlimited play and 3x 10 minute mini-circuit race. They played from 1pm - 7:30pm, and they were still energetic. I had some time to catch up on my reading.

Speech and Drama Performance | Secret - Law of Attraction | PickleBall or Pick-a-Ball

Brayden performed on stage in his school for the Speech and Drama performance. He proudly told us that he is no longer just a narrator but an actual character with script. But he kept it a secret what he will be performing as. "You'll find out Mommy. It's a secret."

On the actual day, I arrived early to the school hall. We looked through the program booklet. The theme this year Fairytales with a Singapore twist. They have very interesting titles; I can already imagine the storyline from them.

  • Alice in MRT-Land
  • Sleeping Beauty and the Bubble Tea Curse
  • The Little Mermaid at Marina Reservoir
  • Rapunzel and the HDB Window
  • The Ugly Duckling at Sentosa
  • The Frog Prince at Marina Bay Sands
  • The Emperor's New Sarong
(The synopsis are on the photos attached)
When it was Brayden's class turn to perform, I could not find him anywhere. After the introduction, he walked up on stage. He was a passer-by with a two-liner script (apparently the 2nd line was just added one day before). This mommy was amused and proud. Go Brayden!

Brayden had another performance at Speech Academy. He was so nervous and his hands were fidgeting with the string from his pants. This month's theme "How to be salesperson - Selling Slime Charms" He was one of the youngest to present.

For the school holiday, we spend the time in KL.

I just finished reading Secret - The Power. There were several times the law of attraction worked in 3 days consecutively during this holiday.
  1. We were at the arcade. Won ball games x 3, Won 2x big soft toys at the claw machine for RM10 during Happy Hour, Won 3x rotating claw machines. When others were struggling, our luck came easy.
  2. It was difficult to look for carpark at Puchong during lunch. Most cars are waiting for a spot, we just came so we'd probably needed to wait before our turn. However as soon as we arrived in front of the restaurant, a car came out exactly the same timing. We've got the VIP spot. Got really lucky!
  3. At a restaurant, Hub was ordering through an app. After he ordered, I told him wouldn't it be nice to have coffee at another restaurant nearby - our favourite coffee spot (it was not open yet during that time - but it will open after we finished our food). He mentioned, the coffee are the same and sticked to the order.
All the food came except the coffee. We finished the food and the coffee still haven't come; Hub thought they must have forgotten. I said "Why not just go to the next spot for coffee then?"
Then, I looked at the order sheet, Hub did not order any coffee at all. It happened even before I could tell him about the thought.
We went to the next restaurant, had amazing coffees and good laughs together. Luck or not, it happened as I wished it to be.
We tried the Pickleball game for the first time. Our family vs family friend. The two girls (age 4 and 5 yrs old) were excited that they were given the roles as Pick-a-Ball. It was a fun game, not too tiring and difficult.

Another exciting news this week: The Malaysian Mixed Double Badminton players won the World Championship during Merdeka Day for Malaysia. It was a nerve-wreaking game. At last, the "Negaraku" was played on Merdeka Day in Paris 2025.
